About GCS

Gloucester Choral Society

Gloucester Choral Society is a first-rate, established, amateur choir with a rich history, based at Gloucester Cathedral. We are dedicated to presenting an interesting, varied and challenging programme of concerts each season and pride ourselves on the quality of the performances we give and the wonderful professional musicians we are able to work alongside.

Our rehearsals take place in the Cathedral’s historic Chapter House and in the Cathedral itself.

We rehearse on Monday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

If you would like to sing with us, see full details on our How to Join page or contact our Membership Secretary on membership@gloucesterchoral.com or call 07798 576755.

We are always looking for new members, we currently number 150, and the best way to test the water is join us at one of our Sing Saturdays. If you enjoy yourself, you can then put yourself forward for audition.

Experience the sheer joy and excitement of singing some of the greatest music ever written under the direction of one of Britain’s top choral conductors in one of the finest concert halls in the world!
