The Subscriptions Secretary is Sarah Goodwin, who sings alto.
Subscriptions for the 2015-16 season (September to June) are set at £150. Membership for Young Singers, and for those under 25, is free, and concessions are available for cases of difficulty (please talk to Sarah about this if you want to know more).
You can pay in full or in up to eight instalments. If you are paying in full, you can use cash, cheque, BACS transfer or standing order.
To pay in instalments, these can be set up online (bank details: Gloucester Choral Society, sort code 40 52 40, account number 00007718) or you can make use of the attached Standing Order Form. The subscription must be paid in full by April 2016 and suggested instalments this year are 2 at £75, 4 at £37.50 or 8 at £18.75.
Payments not completed by the AGM in October (other than those joining after this date or those paying by instalments) are subject to a £5 penalty.
Anyone joining in January as a new member pays half the annual subscription. This does not apply to former members.
Please make sure your payment is referenced ‘GCS subscription’ to help us identify it on receipt and, if using the standing order form, forward the completed form to your bank in good time before September, particularly important if you have previously paid by standing order.
It really helps Sarah to receive cheque and cash subscriptions as early as possible in the term, preferably in September. Just a reminder that subscriptions unpaid by the AGM in October (other than those paying by instalments) are subject to a £5 penalty.
Most subscriptions are now gift aided and in 2013-14 we have been able to reclaim tax of over £4,000 on subscriptions – equivalent to an extra £25 on each subscription. If you are able to gift aid, it is a huge help to the Society.
If you have any queries about subscriptions, standing orders or gift aid, please do contact Sarah Goodwin on email@example.com.
