Travel and Access

Our concerts are usually held in Gloucester Cathedral. The cathedral’s central location makes getting here possible in a number of ways.

Public Transport

The bus station is around 10 minutes walk away, with the train station approximately 15 minutes walk from the Cathedral.

There are excellent bus links between Gloucester and Cheltenham, and there are direct trains to Gloucester from places such as Cheltenham, Bristol, Worcester, Birmingham and London

Car

The nearest car parks are Westgate Street and Hare Lane South. A number of other options exist.

Please be advised that public electric vehicle charging facilities in the city centre are very limited. At the time of writing, charging facilities marked at Westgate Street Car Park are not thought to be usable.

Accessibility

There are parking spaces for blue badge holders in Upper Quay Street.

There are also six parking spaces in the Cathedral Close – these are available on a first come, first served basis, i.e. they cannot be pre-booked.

There is level access for wheelchairs from the main cathedral entrance.

We offer a free ticket for the companion of a disabled person who is not able to attend events unaccompanied.

Gloucester Cathedral has an accessible toilet and a lift to the ladies loo.

Guide/assistance dogs welcome.

Further information can be found on the Cathedral’s website.
