J S Bach – St John Passion

Perhaps one of Bach’s best choral masterpieces, the telling of the Passion of Christ as written in the gospel of John is always a beautiful and poignant concert during the Lent period.

*Please be advised that, in a change from the original billing, Michael Bell will now be performing the role of Evangelist.

Update, 14th March 2020, 06:30: GCS have been monitoring the government’s and industry bodies’ responses to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. Tonight’s concert will go ahead as planned. We look forward to welcoming all singers, players and our audience, and wish all a healthy and enjoyable evening.
