Handel – Messiah

What better way to begin your Advent and Christmas preparation than with Handel’s Messiah in Gloucester Cathedral? Telling the story of Jesus from prophecies of his coming to his birth, Passion, resurrection and glorification in Heaven, Handel’s glorious music is a wonderful, uplifting setting of the scriptures.

A choral mainstay since its first performance in 1742, Handel’s Messiah is an essential part of Christmas and is not to be missed. Gloucester Choral Society performs this masterpiece under the baton of renowned choral director Adrian Partington in the magnificent setting of Gloucester Cathedral.
